She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

Matt. 1:21

This month we have talked about the coming of our Savior into the world.  Jesus Christ loved us so much that He would come to this earth and give His life for you and me.  Jesus gave His life for His bride, which is the church.  I am thankful to be apart of His church and specially, I am thankful to be a part of the church known as Burlington Baptist.  It is a blessing to get to worship and serve with each of you.

As we approach six months in Burlington, I just want to offer thanks for the way you have so warmly welcomed Jenny and I to the church.  While we have been a little homesick at times, your love and encouragement has been such a blessing to us.  We are really looking forward to 2020.  We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us as ask Him to save 52 next year and as each of us ask Him to save “one” who we know and love.  As we work together as a church body, I believe we can have a tremendous impact on our community and beyond.  I hope you are prayerfully considering who you are going to pray for next year and ask the Lord to save.  I hope we get to have lots of celebration in 2020 as we see people saved and baptized.

Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas and the reason that we are compelled to reach our community and world with His love, mercy and grace.  God has been so good to us this year in so many ways.  It has been especially exciting to see the Lord add to our church family almost every week.  It is also exciting to see visitors each week.  May we continue to invite our neighbors and point them to Jesus every opportunity we get.

Thank you, Burlington Baptist, for your love, support, encouragement and just everything you have done for me and my family.  God has called together a special group of people here at Burlington Baptist and it is an honor and privilege to serve as your pastor.  I look forward to getting to know many of you better next year.  I look forward to serving our Lord with you!

Our family wants to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and we pray for God’s special blessings for you in 2020.  Come let us worship and adore Him, Christ our Lord!

Lots of love in Christ,

Bro. Harold & Jenny
